چکیده

Traffic control decisions for incident congestion management on expressways are often made in the face of uncertainty because it entails using many forms both current and predicted traffic data information to arrive at under critical-time pressure. For these reasons, an effective strategy during incidents relies techniques that deal efficiently with problems imprecision. Motivated by this, author has carried out a research project develops multi-stage Fuzzy Logic Controller (MS-FLC) as tool support operator’s decision-making operational level. The aims establishing systematic procedure deriving actions ramp following fuzzy-logic approach. proactive control, trend condition should be properly anticipated. This paper presents first two stages MS-FLC: (1) evaluation upon occurrences, (2) anticipation incidents. results show MS-FLC provides fuzzy-based methodology, which possesses excellent capabilities data-handling knowledge representation deliver linguistic expressions is easy understand operators making decisions. With anticipated types obtained from stages, operates reactive manners so enhance performance expressways.
